OUR STORY

Where Tradition Meets Innovation

Nestled in the heart of York's historic Shambles, Saffron Kitchen brings together the finest British produce with the bold, aromatic flavours of South Asia. Chef Anika Sharma draws from her dual heritage to create dishes that surprise and delight.

Every ingredient is sourced from within 30 miles of our kitchen. Our beef comes from the Yorkshire Dales, our fish from Whitby, and our vegetables from our own allotment in Bishopthorpe.
